The 2025 ANNE ARUNDEL WATERMEN’S ASSOOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

This year the Anne Arundel Watermen’s Association (AAWA) will again award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Anne Arundel high school senior. The applicants must be studying and pursuing a career in Marine Sciences or Natural Resources and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The AAWA is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of representing independent commercial watermen living and working in Anne Arundel County. These scholarships are our way of recognizing excellent achievers and their aspiration to make our livelihoods in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries successful and sustainable. These students can lead by example to make everyone better stewards of the environment.

To apply, complete and mail an application, along with your high school transcript, a brief outline of your extracurricular activities and community service, and an essay about your decision to pursue this career, postmarked by April 10, 2025. The scholarship certificate will be presented at the senior awards ceremony and payment made to the institution you attend.
